Our Roots

Locale was born from a shared passion for genuine Italian cuisine, a strong sense of community, and warm hospitality. After working for many years at their father’s long-standing Italian restaurant in Livingston, NJ, Giuseppe Ottaiano Jr., alongside his brother Tom and sister Natalie, decided to take their experience to the next level by creating a family-oriented, upscale Italian dining experience in Little Silver. Guided by the vision of business partners and community advocates, Matthew and Michael Kelly of Kelly Builders, Locale also represents a significant milestone for the town, securing its first liquor license in decades. Together, the Ottaiano family and the Kelly Brothers have created a welcoming space where guests can gather, share great food and drinks, and create lasting memories.

Artisan Pizza in Little Silver

Our family has always been known for our pizza, and at Locale, we continue to deliver. Using a brick oven imported from Italy, we create classic and artisan pizzas using only the freshest ingredients, from our Napoletana to our knockout Hot Honey pie.

Celebrating Milestones

Locale is the first Little Silver restaurant in decades to be granted a liquor license. This has allowed us to create a welcoming atmosphere where customers can socialize around dinner and drinks, whether seated at a table or gathered around the bar.

In 2024, we opened our doors to the Little Silver and Monmouth County communities. We are proud to have created a warm, welcoming dining experience, where you can enjoy good food with family and friends. With indoor and outdoor dining areas, a bar, catering, and takeout/delivery available, there’s something for everyone in the family at Locale.
